IMPORTANT NOTICE: TRANSITION TO NEW CLINICAL SYSTEM

Important Notice: Transition to New Clinical System

We are currently part of a national programme to replace and upgrade the clinical systems used in GP practices. KILLEARN HEALTH CENTRE is in the process of transitioning to this new system, with the go-live date set for Tuesday, 1^ST SEPTEMBER. Unfortunately, this will result in significant disruption to our routine services during the transition period.

Key Dates and Changes:

• Pre-bookable Appointments: There will be no pre-bookable appointments for any clinician from THURSDAY 27TH AUGUST. This is because we need to close the appointments book in preparation for moving to the new system. We aim to resume booking routine appointments for all staff starting the week of Monday, 7^TH SEPTEMBER

 

• On-the-Day Service: We will operate an 'on-the-day' service on Thursday 27th AUGUST, Friday, 28th AUGUST, and Monday 31^ST AUGUST. We kindly ask that only patients with urgent issues contact us during this time. Your call will be triaged as usual.

 

 

• Medication Requests: We will be unable to issue medication from 27th AUGUST until Tuesday 1^ST SEPTEMBER. If you require repeat medication that is due between Monday 24^TH AUGUST and Monday 14^TH SEPTEMBER, we will accept early requests for these. Please place your early requests from no earlier than Monday, 17^TH AUGUST and please make requests in the usual way.

 

• Test Requests and Results: We will be unable to access test requests or results during this period. Please refrain from calling for test results until after Wednesday, 2^ND SEPTEMBER.

 

 

We apologise for the significant disruption this transition will cause and ask for your patience and understanding during this time. Thank you in advance for your cooperation.

Vaccination Update: Adults and Children

For any queries about Flu, Covid or Shingles vaccinations please contact either the Forth Valley Team on 0800 130 3120 or the National Team on 0800 030 8013. Please note staff at the Health Centre have no access to any scheduling information- Please help us by contacting the teams on the numbers above.

As the Health Centre is a Health Board building it may be that your appointment is scheduled here at a weekend, again please note this is not facilitated, managed or run by the Health Centre staff.
